Queens Crescent Market Revitalisation

The Camden New Journal (09 June 2011, News, p.5) announced in an article by Dan Carrier that the 140 year old Queen’s Crescent Market is to be taken out of Town Hall control.  It was announced this week that the Queen’s Crescent Community Association will manage the street market.

A QCCA spokesperson said they hope to use the market to provide jobs for people in the area and restore the crescent as a vibrant shopping area: ”This is going to be an exciting new era.”

The market has the potential to be a great local resource, and we will watch with interest the developments and changes that are to come.
